On Sunday, June 6, at 2:00 PM, experience a Spring Tea on Zoom among friends of CHW Ottawa, in support of the CHW Debbie Eisenberg and Gary Levine Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Shamir Medical Centre (Assaf Harofe) in Israel. The PICU unit is being built up as a new state-of-the art facility.
“CHW’s generous supporters are making it possible for the Shamir Medical Centre PICU to save lives and provide its vital specialized care,” says Toby Yan, CHW Ottawa’s Amit Chapter President and Tea Coordinator.
The 2021 virtual tea promises to contain all the ingredients the event is known for – a welcoming atmosphere, culinary delights, an art auction and draw.
At the Tea, meet the first woman to lead a governmental hospital in Israel, Dr. Osnat Levtzion-Korach, Director-General of the Shamir Medical Centre. She will present an insider view of the hospital, which is a leader in pediatric medicine serving over 25,000 children last year, including 1,500 in the PICU.
A treat for tea-goers will be a live patisserie demonstration by Ilan Dagan, the Israeli and Paris Cordon Bleu-trained chef who famously catered the Parliament Hill Canada Day celebrations.
You will also be able to bid on four original works by Ottawa artist Katerina Mertikas, and join a draw for a unique multi-media artwork created exclusively for CHW by Sylvia Klein.
