The Jewish Federation of Ottawa is Here for Good. We are here for our community’s recovery and Security
Last year, Jewish Ottawa successfully navigated a crisis and ensured the choices we made safeguarded the vibrancy of our Jewish future.
We protected our community during the pandemic resulting in all our agencies being able to weather the storm.
Bess and Moe Greenberg Family Hillel Lodge had the support it needed to deliver immaculate care for their residents
- Tamir participants could engage in meaningful Jewish experie
- Jewish Family Services had the tech support it needed to help those in crisis
- Kosher Food Bank could meet the needs of the hungry
- Families had continued access to Jewish education
- Virtual Jewish journeys continued
We have invested so much in our community to ensure its success and security and we cannot relent now. This year’s Annual Campaign will be decisive for our entire community, especially our most vulnerable.
Federation has identified two main areas of priority to secure our recovery and strengthen our community for the future.
SUPPORTING THE MOST VULNERABLE
Many people still need extra help. From food insecurity to mental health struggles, Federation is here to strengthen our Jewish social safety net.
SAFEGUARDING ACCESS TO JEWISH LIFE AND EDUCATION
Many families remain financially fragile and at risk of disconnecting from Jewish life. Federation is working to ensure that everyone still has access to the Jewish Superhighway with the ability to enjoy meaningful Jewish journeys.
All this in a secure environment…
On top of the pandemic, Jewish communities across Canada have seen a disturbing rise in antisemitism. Federation will continue to work with our advocacy partner, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, as we mobilize to counter antisemitism, particularly to ensure public school students and our university campuses have safe environments for our children.
Thank you for helping us meet these priorities and to fuel our community’s ongoing recovery.
Now is not the time to relent – please join us in being HERE FOR GOOD and help see our recovery through.
