Israeli police arrested the Palestinian attacker and took him to a hospital, The Associated Press reported.
The assailant hurled the liquid acid through the car window on Friday afternoon near a checkpoint between the West Bank settlement of Beitar Illit and the Palestinian village of Husan, the Times of Israel reported.
The five members of the Jewish family were slightly injured, suffering light burns.
“As soon as we were made aware of the situation, we began taking steps to remove the gift wrap from all store shelves and we will ensure the pattern is not used on any product formats going forward,” Hallmark said in a statement. “We sincerely apologize for this oversight and for any unintended offense.”
Hallmark said the silver and blue wrapping paper’s intricate design was meant to represent vessel, and that any embedded swastika design was not intended.
An Israeli man studying for the rabbinate in New York was stabbed in the neck while praying at the Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters.
The rabbinic student, Levi Rosenviat, 22, of Beitar Illit in Gush Etzion, was stabbed at 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday in the neck and other areas of his body in the synagogue of the building located in Crown Heights in Brooklyn, according to reports.
