Jeff Kanter of Nepean High School and Irv Osterer of Merivale High School were among the teachers who received awards from the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) for their work in the arts.

Kanter received the Marjorie Laughrie Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts while Osterer received the Art Event Award for the the Face2Face exhibit he organized last year at the City of Ottawa Archives.

The awards were presented January 12 at Tyme and Again.
